Partners In Education (PIE)
Here at Midtown Academy, we are following the Baltimore City Public School System policies regarding Community Partners and Volunteers. Please note this guidance is for Midtown Parents looking to volunteer as well.
Volunteering 101
All Volunteers are screened before they can work in schools, and some must have a background check, depending on the nature of their volunteer assignment. If you will be in the school frequently, you will receive a badge to show when you enter the building. Otherwise, you will go through the regular visitor policy and sign in and out.
How to Sign Up?
If you have an email address register as a City Schools volunteer (Select Midtown Academy to view our volunteer opportunities| Registration link
If you do not have an email address, please contact our Community School Coordinator, Angela Harrell at aharrell@elev8baltimore.org . They can assist you in completing the registration process.
My child goes to the school. Do I need to have a background check?
Yes, parents are required to go through the same process as all volunteers.
