Daily Bell

DAILY SCHEDULE

7:45 AM: Students will enter via the car lot or the front gate via Mount Royal Ave. Students have the choice of going in the multipurpose room for Breakfast or staying outside on the blue top and playing/socializing with students and staff before the bell.


8:00 AM: Teachers and support staff pick up students from the Blue Top and escort them to their prospective classroom.


8:15 AM: Students are considered late and must get a late pass signed by our School Secretary Ms. McKinney in the Main Office.

2:40 PM: Dismissal. Teachers will escort students out to the Blue Top. Teachers and Support staff work diligently to organize the carline and front gate by escorting the students to the parents. Parents are NOT allowed on the Blue Top afterschool.


2:50 PM: All students that have not been picked up will be escorted to the office and families will be phoned. If students are not picked up by 3:15, the Department of Social Services will be notified.


SCHOOL DRESS CODE

Top:

Solid navy, solid white, or solid gray shirts with collar, polo shirts, turtle necks, sweaters or Midtown Academy t-shirt. (no hoods allowed)

All layers worn must be solid navy, solid white, or solid gray (no hoods allowed)


Bottom: 

Solid navy or solid khaki pants, shorts, skirt, skorts, or jumper. (skirts/jumpers should be knee length)


Guidelines: 

ü Functional hair accessories such as hairbands that keep hair from falling in face or keep hair in place are appropriate.

ü Coats CANNOT be worn in the building. Dress code approved layer should be worn for warmth.

ü NO HOODS can be worn inside the building.

ü Jewelry should not be worn to school. POST earrings can be worn (no larger than a dime)


Common items we see that ARE NOT permitted:

§ Flip flops, sandals

§ Shoes without socks

§ Shoes with wheels

§ Tank or sleeveless tops

§ Sunglasses

§ Hats (indoors) Head coverings are permitted for religious or medical reasons only.

§ Jeans

§ Revealing clothing (see through tops, tight clothing, etc.)

§ Prints, plaids, stripes, patterns on clothing

§ Perfume or aftershave

§ Jewelry (other than post earrings)

§ Make up

§ Holes in clothing


FITNESS AND ADVENTURE DAYS:  Student tops must still be solid navy, solid white, solid gray, or a Midtown t-shirt and bottoms can be solid navy, solid gray sweatpants.
